Tommy Cox

Tommy was born in Mobile and grew up in the Eastern Shore area. He graduated from Fairhope high school in 1986. He has been in the Title Industry working in both Baldwin and Mobile counties for over 36 years and is currently a Title Examiner. He started as a runner for a law firm in Fairhope and was responsible for reading and understanding Surveys, Last Wills and Testaments and other legal documents. He has researched numerous projects over the years including Rock Creek in Fairhope, The Beach Club Condos and Peninsula Subdivision in Gulf Shores, The Palms Condos in Orange Beach, and the Target shopping centers in both Daphne and west Mobile. Since joining The Guarantee Title Company in 1998, he has become responsible for researching commercial projects in both Mobile and Baldwin County areas. He specializes in researching commercial tracts, metes and bounds legal descriptions and finding percentage interests in multiple ownerships including family histories. He especially enjoys helping people find the answers to real estate issues that pop up unexpectedly. He loves music especially electronic, new age and classical. He is a fan of Vangelis, the composer for Chariots of Fire, Blade Runner and Carl Sagan's Cosmos, and John Williams, composer for Star Wars, Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Raiders of the Lost Ark. He also enjoys Classical composers Maurice Ravel and Pyotr Il'yich Tchaikovsky and is a fan of Sci-fi programs including Star Trek, Star Wars, and Doctor Who. He enjoys going to museums and scenic places.
